Bulldogs Take Charge to Defeat Gaffney Indians

After a loss to Mauldin (83-70), the Boiling Springs Bulldogs made history against the Gaffney Indians on Friday, November 15. The final score was 48-41, advancing the Bulldogs to the next round of playoffs. This is the first time since 1984 that Gaffney has been defeated at a home playoff game. Senior Tre-Shaun Sanderlin had 18 rushes for 65 yards and junior Daniel Thompson finished 19 out of 32 passes for 350 yards and completed four touchdowns. Mason Sanders caught nine passes from Thompson and completed three touchdowns. Sanderlin stated, "It was a great win and I’m glad my team had the opportunity to beat Gaffney in playoffs; it is definitely something to remember!" After the big win in Gaffney, Boiling Springs’ fans crowded the field to congratulate the Bulldog football team. Friends of players were snapping picture after picture with their favorite players. The smiles on the Bulldog players were priceless.
Boiling Springs played Summerville in the second round of playoffs on November 22. The game came down to the last five seconds when Summerville kicked a field goal, ending the game with a score of 29-28. Congratulations to the football team on an outstanding season. Way to go Bulldogs!
