The Bulldogs turned heads as they defeated the Spartan High Vikings and Dorman Cavaliers in back-to-back wins. On October 18th, the Bulldogs had a thrashing game against the Vikings. They started out slowly, with the score 30-14 at halftime. Once the Bulldogs returned from halftime, a light sparked in the Bulldogs it seemed. Boiling Springs totaled 526 yards, with Mason Sanders catching nine passes, Sanderlin rushing 25 times for 142 yards and catching six for 76 yards, and Daniel Thompson throwing 335 yards to pull out the win 41-38.The Bulldogs kept the momentum going against the Cavaliers at their home turf last Friday night. Dorman made a lot of mistakes and Boiling Springs took advantage of each opportunity. Treshaun Sanderlin, senior runningback, stated enthusiastically, “We showed a lot of heart, and it really showed out on the field. It was a great win.”
Sanderlin ran for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns and Daniel Thompson ran for one and passed for two. One of the best plays of the season was made by senior lineman, Montel Lipscomb, as he plowed through the Cavalier blockers to sack QB Grayland Fowler. Bulldogs defeated Cavaliers 35-31, the 4th region win. They’ll be back on the field November 1st against Gaffney.
