Cheerleaders nail their stunts at the Viking Invitional |
The Lady Bulldog Cheerleaders traveled to Spartanburg High School on October 19th, for the Viking Invitational, and took second place, competing against Dorman, Spartanburg, and Broome. The girls had a high energy soundtrack, accompanied by a complex routine that kept the crowd roaring. While the judges deliberated, the teams participated in a jump off and stunt competition. Katie Cobb and Hannah Smith participated in the jump off. Hannah Smith won the jump off overall out of all four teams. Senior Mackenzie Carey stated, “Losing on Saturday really motivated us to practice harder and perform better. We have to keep improving each week to hopefully accomplish our ultimate goal.” Coach Tina Svenson commented, “I was very pleased with our performance on Saturday. Going into the competition we had two goals: to hit our routine and to beat our previous score. We did both and we will continue to try our best to improve, making our State performance our
very best!” There are only a few more competitions left before State. The cheerleaders greatly appreciate all the support and enjoy seeing familiar faces as they perform. Do not miss out on the girls’ road to becoming back to back State champions
